warizerifu
A common dialogue convention in kabuki theater, warizerifu means "divided" or "segmented dialogue" and really has no equivalents in Western performance traditions. Warizerifu is virtually identical to watarizerifu , in which a group of characters on stage deliver a single line of dialogue in segments divided among themselves and each character seems to be sharing the thoughts of the others. However, in warizerifu , the segmented dialogue is spoken by only two characters who are unaware that their thoughts are identical. So even though the two characters are delivering a single line of thought in a series of interrupted sentences, they are ironically unaware of the fact that they are thinking in similar ways. Warizerifu often involves two characters who aren't aware of the presence of the other character.
